The Catcher in the Rye

This book is 288 pages and was written by J.D. Salinger. This book is narrated by a sixteen year old boy named Holden Caulfield. At the beginning of the book he is kicked out of school, and knows he has to go back home. He's afraid to tell his parents so he makes many detours before confronting them. I found this book enthralling for two reasons:
  1. His adventures were exciting and unpredictable.
  2. Holden's personality is fascinating and likable.
I think I would have often behaved similarly to Holden if I were in his position. Once I finished the book I really wanted to know what happened to him.

Welcome

Welcome to Bookboyblog. My mission is to find the best books for teenagers. I will be looking through classics and the top sellers of the day. I am a big fan of history and have read many biographies and historical fiction novels already. Initially some of my reviews will be from past books I have read.
On my mission, your help would be greatly appreciated, simply send me emails regarding the books you would like me to review. There will be a contest in the future where i will award the reader who sends me the greatest number of good book ideas.
